We aim to provide great quality products and we'd like for you to be completely satisfied with your purchase and get the product's full benefit. Please follow these steps: -Verify there is no physical damage to the cord of the heating pad -Try a different appliance (such as a small lamp) in the outlet to ensure the outlet is functional. -Try plugging the heating pad into a different outlet to see if it starts to heat up correctly. Hey there! Thanks for reaching out. When you are using the moist heat option, dampen either side of the heating pad with water by patting the surface with a wet sponge or cloth or use a spray bottle to apply a fine mist.
