WASHING INSTRUCTIONS: CAUTION: DO NOT DRY CLEAN! DO NOT BLEACH! DO NOT USE WRINGER! 1. Disconnect pad from outlet. 2. Remove cover from pad. 3. I was tiny bit disappointed at first when I opened the package with the overall design and quality of a case. I was hoping for something softer. But after starting to use it, I don’t think I can found anything better for heat distribution and pain relief. It has closely placed coils, heats up evenly and strongly. I highly recommend this pad, for pain relief and recovery. Wish it would be a slightly bigger.

I really like this Sunbeam heating pad, it's simple to use, works great and it has a 9' cord which makes it so much easier to sit or lay wherever you want to while you're using it. I put the toilet paper roll on it so you could see how big the pad is, it's a lot bigger than my old one. I was using it on my knees because I have arthritis and it helps me with the pain. I definitely recommend everyone get one because we all have the occasional or daily need for relief from soreness ECT. This one is an excellent choice and you can even spray the cover so you get moist heat, very impressive 👍

Rated 5 out of 5 by kerosenehearts from generationally good my mother bought one when she was 19, and it lasted 36 years, and only died after being passed down to me and my cats bit through the vinyl and puked on the inside a while later so it had to be tossed. i found a brand new one at my local food pantry about 3 months later, knew it was meant to be.even the new one hears amazingly, though doesn't quite get to the burning temps of the old model, but thats ok because it still gets hot enough to soothe my joint pain. heres to another 36 years. ps yall should offer a fur textured (not fleece, more like minky) cover for those with sensory issues,

I bought the king size heating pad last month only for 2 uses out of it because every single outlet I use it in ( no extension cord) it blows my power out!! I've had Sunbeam heating pads basically all my life I'm almost 40 years old I do not know what else to do I have tried it in every single plug in my bedroom every single plug in my living room every single plug in between It blows my power out after about five maybe 10 minutes I have tried everything and it's brand new butter from Walmart They won't let me return it of course what can I try. I have cancer and really need heat. Sad

This is a great product to use for sore muscles as well as for stomach cramps. It has a 3 heat setting feature that is very useful for our family since we all like different levels of heat. It’s a perfect size to put on your knee , back and stomach. It’s easy to use with a palm size remote to change the heat setting. I’m really liking the moist heat feature. It gives your relief another level up. But it really works well without the moist heat, too. Very happy with this product

It only takes a couple of minutes to reach its warmest setting which gets really comfortably warm. It’s a standard size, but the entire pad gets warm without issue. You want to have a barrier between that and the skin because it does get warm even through the cover. It is about a foot long and a little over a foot wide, making it perfect for back, knees, or stomach. It has a moist option which allows you to spray the fabric before turning it on. This is pretty great for when you want a moist tension and stress relieving heating pad. It has an automatic safety off feature too which is great for if you take a nap with it. No risk of fires! I love how comfortable and cozy it is!

Med, and high. I tried all 3 levels and low gave a good amount of heat and was satisfying for my sore back. The moist heat option for deep penetrating heat is also a great feature that I hadnt seen before. The cover comes off and is machine washable. This is a great heating pad and absolutely works for my sore muscles and back pain. Highly recommend.

I have a bad knee and prop my knee up on pillows and wrap this over the knee, my preferred heat setting is 3. You can also spray water onto the fabric covering to give moist heat. It measure 12x15 inches making it a great option for many situations without being too big and bulky. It has 3 heat settings and a long cord to easily reach an outlet. The clothe covering can be washed and the heating pad can be wiped clean. A must have for anyone with joint or back pain !

There is no information on where to send these for repair or any alternative to putting them in the garbage. Not a good choice if you are concerned about recycling or repairing appliances.

It crumpled very easily. Had to be flattened out a lot. Calling the Sunbeam hotline was useless. The controller part did not function well from beginning to end!

It's not overly flexible to the touch but molds nicely around a shoulder or knee area. The cord is long enough to reach an outlet when sitting on the couch or laying in bed. The quality of the cover is not the best because it's very thin and doesn't look like it will hold up very well bit only time will tell. Overall it's a good product and I like the small and convenient size the best.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Rosebud from Been around for decades. Sunbeam has been a trusted devices in our home for years and years. I still turn to these for heating type products. I’m hoping my loyalty isn’t misplaced. More and more, I find trusted brands of 100 years ago are not what they used to be. Kinda like clothes, made with cheaper and cheaper fabrics and labor that has little knowledge or devotion to quality control. But I hope Sunbeam is still the same in terms of quality. I’m getting ready to buy a new heating pad so we shall see. To the folks being sarcastic who thinks unplugging it from the wall and the device for 3-5 minutes is some kinda of joke. Many of the electronic digital devices of today may run off tiny computer controllers that if having issues may need to be reset. Think of your smart phones, tablets, even TVs that a simple off for a few minutes clears up mixed signals in the computers and electronic boards. The usual way to reset the heating pad, or at least Sunbeam’s per their instructions, is to stop all electrical current to the device and the wall for at least 3 minutes and preferably 5 minutes. If that doesn’t take care of it, or you have to frequently do this, call them and let them make good on the item. Something else to consider — Some people plug them into extension cords or other such devices, some directly to the wall. I don’t think extension cords are the most safe solution because you aren’t able to tell the quality of the electrical connections in the cord, nor when they start to get old. Many people have extension cords that have been in use for decades. And most people try to buy the cheapest extension cord they can. Not a good decision in my opinion - may not be tested as well, may be cheaply made, may have poorly made connections, etc. at least buy one from a reputable company, that’s been around for a long time, and ones with good warranties and customer service. A bad one can at the least, ruin your device plugged into it, and at the worst — burn your house down. Buy from reputable, long lasting companies know for making durable products and pay attention to their instruction booklets or go on line and look them up if you can’t find. Replace as recommended. Call the company before trashing them — it could be your own stupidity as to why it isn’t working. Too many people say I have been using a heating pad since the 50’s thus even though now many run off little digital computer controllers with lots more functions — they honestly believer they are still the same product of 72 years ago. Many, if not most, products created many decades ago have been improved considerably even if you can’t see it.

My family prefers this heating pad and it is our favorite thing to use while we are settled in for the evening and watching the television. It works perfectly with a variety of reasons that we may need to use it for. It heats up quickly and the cover on it is really nice with soft fabric. It's simple to navigate the intensity of heat. The cover slips off easily so it can be cleaned.

The Sunbeam Vinyl Heating Pad with cover has 3 different heat settings including a moist heat option, that you can activate just by spraying with water. This has been just the ticket to relieve my lower back pain. I like that the fabric is durable, lightweight and the cover is machine washable. I keep it on my recliner plugged in so when I need a little heat or a lot it’s just one switch away to turn on.

When I recently tried to use it, the indicator light blinked on and off and the pad didn't warm consistently. I opened the control panel to discover sparking and a burned area where the power supply attached to the circuit board controlling the unit. This posed a very serious fire exposure if used near flammable products.

I can wrap the pad around my whole hand and wrist just like the physical therapist does before I do my strengthening exercises! The heat also helps relieve arthritic pain in my other thumb. I was really impressed the the size of this standard pad. I have also used it for back pain - it feels wonderful. I have a feeling I will be using this morning and night when it gets colder!

The slider-style control makes it easy to switch between the different temperature settings. After using it, I can tuck the control into the back pocket and roll the heating pad up for space-saving storage. The cord is a good length, making it easy to plug in wherever I plan to use it. The heating pad is perfect for helping me unwind in the evening while I relax and read a book.

I don’t see a max temperature listed in any of the product specifications. Can you tell me what the hottest setting gets to in degrees Fahrenheit? I’m wondering if there is another version that gets hotter. I’ve seen others listed that say they go to 160°f, but I don’t know how to compare it to this one since I don’t know if this one is rated for a similar or lower temperature. Please let me know!

The control is easy to use and it has a cover so it doesn’t feel too hot against your skin. The cover is separate and washable, and if you spray it with water, it gives gives a nice moist heat option that helped with my tendinitis. However, the cover feels thin and even though it seems like a strong fabric I’m not sure how long it will actually last.

In addition to the three heat settings, it also has a moist heat option, which is pretty soothing. I recently started weight training and this heating pad helps me not quit! It’s a good size, so it fits comfortably across your lower back or your shoulders without needing repositioning. It’s reliable and absolutely does its job.

Home Hardware (bought on vacation) would not take it back even with the receipt. Then back home, bought one from Walmart and the exact same problem. Walmart wouldn't take it back either...sanitary and health reasons for both stores. So here I'm out almost $60 and decided to write Sunbeam. They are replacing it. I hope it's not the same one as it's a piece of garbage!

It’s listed as standard size, but it seems pretty large and will cover most body parts. Quickly heats up and the cover is removable for laundering. The fabric can be spritzed or dabbed with water to make moist heat. Overall it’s practical and nice to have at the ready for everyday aches and pains.

From a regular heating pad in 3 different settings to the option of wetting the cover for deep moist heat to get through muscle faster. The cover is soft and seems pretty durable. It's a great size that would cover your entire back. The controller couldn't be any more simple to use. All in all, it's a great choice to ease aches and pains. Definitely recommend.

I hurt my back and this is the perfect size to go on your lower back in your work chair so you can get the relief you need while working or relaxing. I like the big button that slides to go from low to high much easier than the older units. You plug the power cord into a regular outlet. The other blue sleeve removes easily so you can clean and maintain it as needed.

I didn’t know you could dampen an item that is electric, but you can. Not dripping wet just damp. It is ready to use right out of the box. It is a great value for what you’re getting. It’s large enough to wrap around leg and arm and across most of your back. I highly recommend this item.
