Why does say not use use a power inverter, as the inverter I have is rated for 480 watts. The pad only uses 50 watts.

Thank you for contacting Sunbeam! That's a good question. We do not recommend to use a power inverter with our Sunbeam heating pad since it is meant to be used on direct power sources. If you do so, it will damage the control and the heating pad itself.

This pad pulses on and off, with no pattern to it. &nbsp;It's either using electricity, or it's not. &nbsp;The temperature will vary because it's not constant.

I find it hard to believe that Sunbeam Consumer Care would say it's manufactured in Florida, when it's clearly marked on the box that it's made in China. &nbsp;Boca Raton may be some type of office for Sunbeam, but not where it's manufactured.
