Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't last long Liked everything about this product...except the life span. Been using it regularly for an entire 12 or 13 days and it has quit on me. There were no complaints until it suddenly started flashing "F" on the display screen, and now nothing happens. What's worse, neither the manual nor the website make any indication that they have ever heard of such a Failure or malfunction with this product line. I can live with the fact that heating pads don't last forever, but would appreciate some level of acknowledgement from the manufacturer that these "could" burn out before you would expect them to.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from LOVE/HATE RELATIONSHIP I bought this nearly 3 years ago. I love so much about it: extra large size, soft cover, 6 heat levels, auto shut off. At the 1 year mark the deadly F flashed and nothing fixed it. Called Sunbeam and they replaced it under the 5 year warranty. At the 1 year mark of the new one, it too died. I called and it was replaced. Here comes another year. I believe that my original 5 year warranty covers the 2 replacements. At this rate I may need 3 more replacements. I thought I was the only one to have this problem. Another improvement would be a plug into the pad with grippers on each side to hold it tightly on.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality electrical system I have now purchased 4 Sunbeam long heating pads and have had to discard 3 because of the flashing f. So I have now 1 left. Is this Sunbeams way of getting you to purchase more?? When this last one starts flashing f and it will, I will not be purchasing any further pads. I never plugged any into a space bar except the first one. After reading on the web about not plugging into a space bar I never did that again, so why did the next two fail. Lovely heating pad but Sunbeam needs to do something about this fault. I have advised many friends not to purchase this product. Also I live alone so no one else can be blamed for these failures.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disapointed This was a great heating pad when it worked but it's lifespan is very short. Bought one and lasted about a year then I got the infamous flashing "F" so I called Sunbeam customer service and they were great, went ahead and sent me another one free of charge. But this one has lasted about 8-9 months and the flashing "F" is back on. No matter what I do to try to reset this pad I keep getting the same message. Will throw this away and go elsewhere to get a different pad. By far this was the nicest one and heated the fastest but very short lifespan.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Remarkable Features Wow!! The Sunbeam Xpress Heat, Heating Pad size XL has some really great features. Such as the controls to the heating pad are easily used and it heated up nicely. The heating pad also held its temperature the whole time.  I'm so glad that the Sunbeam Xpress Heating Pad has the larger sizes now!  Especially since my husband has needed to use a Heating Pad for his back.  He also  stated that it actually stays in place and it is nice and thick.  He also said that there where no wires or plastic crunching in his ear! After hearing that, I went ahead and bought a couple of the Sunbeam Xpress Heat, Heating Pad XL to use as Christmas Presents!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very nice but SHORT life span Great pad but they don't last long. Have to keep it very flat or wires break. I'm on my third one. This will be my last. Too bad it's nice while it works !!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from XpressHeat heating pad, King size I'm very happy with this product. To be able to find a heating pad that has the ability to produce heat continuously is very important to individuals that need some mild heat to affected areas in order to sleep uninterrupted by pain. It also is helpful to have the 2 hour cutoff for safety reasons when higher settings desired

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Big heating pad I just recently purchased this heating pad and it's already flashing F. This has been an ongoing problem with these heating pads and I just keep purchasing them. I will no longer be doing that, I have spent so much money on these heating pads and they just keep going out. Nothing upsets me more than going to get into bed and all I see is the big flashing F fo failure so I will no longer be purchasing these anymore. Now I am out another almost $40.00 that's three heating pads in the last year. I'm done
