The cord on the Premium Heating Pad with XpressHeat is designed to be flexible for normal use; however, it is not specifically marketed as a kink-resistant or tangle-free cord. Like most electrical cords, it may twist or develop kinks depending on how it is handled and stored. To help minimize this, we recommend avoiding tight wrapping and sharp bends when storing the heating pad. However, the power cord itself is not specifically designed as a &quot;no-kink&quot; or extra-flexible cord, so some curling or bending may occur over time depending on how the product is stored and used. It means the poorly engineered and/or cheaply manufactured controller has DIED. MANY customers, including me, have reported the exact same problem.

Hello, Thank you for contacting the Sunbeam&reg;. We apologize for any inconvenience you have experienced with your heating pad with F code flashing. That is certainly not the experience we want you to have. No worries, we are here to help. There are several causes to a flashing control or a control displaying &ldquo;FF, F1, or F2&rdquo;: 1. Product is plugged into an extension cord/surge protector and not plugged into a direct wall outlet. 2. Product wasn't plugged in properly. To FIX this problem, do the following to reset your product: 1. Unplug the power cord from the electrical connection. 2. Unplug the cord from the actual product itself (if your product has a detachable cord) 3. Re-plug the cord into the product. Make sure the connection is secure and complete.(if your product has a detachable cord) 4. Re-insert power cord back into a wall outlet. Your Premium Heating Pad with XpressHeat&reg; has a 5-year limited warranty.
