Rated 1 out of 5 by from After two months- DEFECTIVE! I purchased this product about two months ago, and was very happy with it until it just stopped working. No heat, and a blinking red light equals- DEAD! I am very dissatisfied with this Sunbeam product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk red light blinking after two uses Used as stated. Red light now blinking. Followed trouble shooting tips from sunbeam. Light still blinking. This is a piece of junk avoid at all costs. You might as well just mail sunbeam 20$ and avoid the aggravation. Had to give it 1 star to post it deserves 0

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stopped working My heating pad just stopped working. The controller keeps flashing red.
Date published: 2014-06-25
Rated 1 out of 5 by from stopped working I bought this heating pad and only used maybe a week worth of use and it started flashing on high and won't stop. I unplugged to try to reset the hand controller and still will not work. As a child I grew up using this brand of sunbeam in our house. I'm sad to say I will switch brands if they don't replace or refund this problem.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I love the heat on this pad I've purchased and received many sunbeam and love the heat on it. As I'm reading thru the reviews I've had the same issues. Works great for a few months then bam the dreaded flashing light. For awhile the resetting works but then sadly nothing works and its dead. Frustrating to say the least. I always just thought i burnt them out from using every night but seems its an inherent issue! My last one was a xmas gift and died in july. I've been using others which are holding up but the heats just not as good! I'm sad!I'd love to recommend on the heat level alone but shoot $50 bucks every 6 months......

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very poor controller. Received my king size heat pad with push button control as replacement for another brand heat pad, but same push button control. Almost immediately the pad overheats when turned on, but settles to the lower heat after about 15 minutes. After about 2 month of use each began to not turn on when they had been turned off at the controller. My conclusion is the push button controller is bad. (Note it is made in China.) My Sunbeam heat pad is only usable when I put up with unplugging it before using. This is NOT the Sunbeam I know from years ago. Mine was a gift that replaced the other pad, also a gift. This is nearly worthless, but at 80 I can't go throwing my money away.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't wast your money I am on my 3rd one now and the red light is blinking and it will not heat up. I love the size of it and softness but could kick myself for buying another one!!!!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didn’t even last six months…how sad I bought this barely six months ago to help with some lower back pain. I used it probably 5-6 times then carefully put it away. I recently went to use it again and it barely gets above room temperature. All the lights appear normal but there’s no heat output. From such a popular brand like Sunbeam I’m very disappointed in the quality of their products. My old Sunbeam heating pad lasted decades. I guess that’s what happens when you no longer care about your company’s reputation for quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cannot be without this I have purchased 7 of these within the last eight years, two for gifts and the rest for my family and me. It does the job. I use mine every day and night---at home, at work, in car-- and have never had a problem. They do stop working after a year, but I attributed that to my hours of use. I find the pad comfy and safe with the automatic-off feature. I like that the plug does not pull out easily as some heating pads do. I first got one through QVC and continued to buy them there. When I wanted a new one last month, they were no longer available. A friend recently saw another model, so I will try that one.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from "Disposable Heating Pad"? I bought one because I liked to size. I ended up being out of town needing a heating pad and bought a second one. I've had the first one maybe 6 month, and the second one two months. Neither of them work. All I get is the flashing red light. I will not buy another one.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Failed to stay on I bought heating pad on Amazon after my shoulder surgery tried it once and it turned off after 5 minutes. Tried troubleshooting according to directions. There were no pinch points on the plug or anywhere on the device. Unplugged it waited a while and tried again. Same thing continued to happen. Contacted Amazon and they were generous enough to send me a new heating pad at no cost. Same thing continues to happen with the new heating pad. I now have 2 useless heating pads.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk Absolutely loved the product for the first week or so. Then the red light started blinking. Unplugging from the wall worked the first few times. Now it just wont work at all - Red blinking light. Love the size of the heating pad, but sadly this disappointed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Works Great for a couple months. I bought this heating pad for the first time several years ago. After several months I had the same problem as others with the blinking red light. I followed the suggestions to unplug, put it in a wall plug, etc... and it never came back to life. Sunbeam was kind enough to send me a new one. 6 months later the same problem occurred. Again they sent me a new one to replace that one and tonight the same thing happened again. I use the heating pad almost daily for 1-2 hours at a time. I love this heating pad when it's working. In fact it's one of the best I've used until the inevitable red light comes on.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from By far my favorite but needs fixed. This is by far the best heating pad that I have found. It's soft, flexible, washable , and has a longer auto off timer.. I use it on a daily basis for my lower back or my neck pain due to bulging discs. The only complaint is that after I have had it for a year, the light all of started blinking and there is no more heat. I did manage to get it to work for 2 minutes after having it unplugged for 2 weeks and it went right back to blinking and no heat. I have tried plugging it in in various locations in my house and still no change. How can I get it replaced when I have no clue where my receipt went?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't do it! I am the dummy who repeatedly buys this product thinking that I keep buying ones that don't work. They work for one week or one use. And then never turn on again. Such a waste of money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stopped working I have only had this for 2 months and now it stopped working. I won't buy this product again. So frustrating.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from no I bought this two days ago. Plugged it on to a wall outlet today and get nothing but a flashing light (indicated for if heat were 'high'). No heat. No ability to change heat setting. Have tried multiple outlets in several locations. This product is defective and I will be returning it as soon as possible.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Never buying again. I have been using this style by Sunbeam (mainly for the comfort factor) for almost 2 decades now. You would think by now they would have found a fix for the blinking red light. I have had my current one for less than 3 weeks and the lower 3/4 of the pad has stopped emitting heat. I didn't expect that to happen for at least 9 months. At almost $40, I think it might be time to start investing in a product that lasts a little longer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Two weeks I bought this and used it everyday. After two weeks it stop working. Tried resetting by unplugging and all it does is blink. I don't have the box or proof of purchase, so I guess the only option is to put it where it belongs, the trash. Based on the reviews Sunbeam should recall this pad.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great heating pad with a problem Like many others, I loved the (earlier) version of this heating pad... but control stopped working (F2 code). Contacted Sunbeam and they replaced the pad. They were great. Will post here again to let you know how the new one holds up. The heating pad really is worth the effort.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from HORRIBLE I BOUGHT THIS A YEAR AGO.. NEVER HAD A PROBLEM UNTIL I WASHED IT JUST TO FRESHEN IT UP.. FOLLOWED THE DIRECTIONS TO A T... GUESS WHAT?? NOW $40 OUT OF MY POCKET THIS PIECE OF JUNK DOESN'T WORK ANYMORE... WHAT A WASTE...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Piece of JUNK! As of this writing, there are 22 - 5* reviews, 7 - 4* reviews, 7 - 3* reviews and 10 - 2* reviews. There are 53 - 1* reviews This should tell potential buyers and Sunbeam something. As to my experience, we tried 3 different pads and all failed within a few days. Sunbeam has a serious quality control issue. I do not see why we, their customers, should be guinea pigs for their products.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Misleading Looks are deceiving, what you see is not what you get! The fabric is NOT soft and plush on both sides of the pad. One side is rough and it isn't very flexible.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it. I am really surprised to see such low ratings because I absolutely love this heating pad. I started using mine before a specific surgery, used it afterward during recovery, and have been using it now for other issues and it is STILL working well. Bought it January 1, 2014. It is soft, I never need it higher than the medium setting, and the fact it shuts off after 2 hours allows me to doze a bit without concern. I even bought one for my sister. I totally recommend this heating pad.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Hit or miss with this one I bought this heating pad 1.5 years ago and it has been working great — exactly as I would expect it to work. I decided to buy a second one (the exact one). The first time I turned it on, it shut off within 20 minutes and not turn on again unless I unplugged it and plugged it back in. This happened no matter which outlet I tried. Then it just stopped working altogether. I suspect the controller was faulty. I am afraid to buy it again because there’s no guarantee it will work.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Heating pad that works only for a few hours I bought a heating pad for myself and lent it to a little lady I take care of. That was Tuesday, Thursday morn we couldn’t turn it on. Wouldn’t light up or warm up. I hate to go back to Walmart and return a second one! We chose sunbeam because of the brand! What happened? They use to a brand you could rely on.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Love it, but it broke I bought mine April of last year and it's been great! It helps with my back pain and cramps! However, now it's got a blinking F that just won't go away no matter what. I've tried everything to try and get it working again, but it's broken now and I'm kind of disappointed because I've always loved Sunbeam!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from So Frustrating and Stupid I get the auto shut off after 2 hours, however, mine shuts off well before that. Then I can’t turn it back on. No instructions in the box. Seems other people have the same issue. Will be returning and trying another brand. Perhaps the same I had for 5 years that only just stopped working.
