Hey there! We are sorry to hear that the control is flashing F. There are several causes to a flashing control or a control displaying "FF, F1, or F2": 1. Product is plugged into an extension cord/surge protector and not plugged into a direct wall outlet. 2. Product wasn't plugged in properly. To fix this problem, do the following to reset your product: 1. Unplug the power cord from the electrical connection. 2. Unplug the cord from the actual product itself (if your product has a detachable cord) 3. Re-plug the cord into the product. Make sure the connection is secure and complete.(if your product has a detachable cord) 4. Re-insert power cord back into a wall outlet.

To get the bedding product out of the failure mode you would first, make sure you are using a direct outlet (no power strips or ext. cords). Next, make sure that the connector is properly secured from the blanket to the controller. If that does not correct your issue follow these steps: 1. Turn the blanket control to the "Off" position and unplug the power cord from the electrical connection. 2. Check bedding product plug connection that directly plugs into the bedding product. Make sure the connection is secure and complete. 3. Re-insert power cord back into a wall outlet If the 3 steps above are not followed in order, the bedding product will not properly reset. After resetting and the problem still persists I would recommend you give us a call at (800) 892-7684 so we can assist you in this matter. The actual operating temperature of a heating pad depends on many factors. Sunbeam heating pads are engineered to produce heat that will not exceed the Underwriters Laboratory temperature limits (176 degrees F) when used on the High setting.
