When I turn on my heating pad it starts to warm then it flashes red on the controller. I've tried 3 different out lets and the same thing. It says nothing in the instructions as to why?

Mine is doing the same thing now. Sunbeam recommended resetting it by simultaneously pressing the power button and plugging into outlet. That worked for a few minutes each time I did this. Now is back to flashing red light and does not reset. I think it must be a safety feature that indicates an electrical problem. I'm taking it back to Walmart.

Hey there! We thank you for purchasing our Sunbeam&reg; Heating Pad Standard Size with Compact Storage and we are sorry to hear that it shuts off after minutes of use. We recommend you to reset it by unplugging and plugging it back in. Make sure to check the cord if it's tightly connected to the pad and plug it into a wall outlet.
