This Sunbeam® Standard-Size Heating Pad with Compact Storage delivers soothing heat therapy for common muscle pain and joint pain. The 12 x 15-inch ultra-soft pad fits most muscle groups to help accelerate tissue healing and relax sore muscles associated with muscle tension and stress. Customize with 3 heat settings and 2-hour auto-shutoff. After treatment, place controller in integrated pocket, roll up pad, and secure with tab for neat storage. Wipe heating pad with a damp cloth only, as needed. Do not dampen the cord and connector. Hang to dry.

Wish I'd thought to keep the receipt.
I bought this four days ago at walmart, needing a new heating pad before I got my period. I started using it yesterday and at first was decently happy with it... but about half an hour into my second use I noticed it wasn't producing heat anymore, and when I checked none of the lights were on on the remote. I thought I must have bumped it and turned it off by accident, but it would not turn back on. I tried plugging it into different outlets in case that was the problem, checked to make sure the cord wasn't bent or knotted or damaged, waited an hour to see if maybe it had overheated somehow and had a fail-safe. Nothin'. The thing broke after maybe two and a half total hours of use.

Waste of money
I have heard Sunbeam products crap out too early but DANG!! I’ve purchased heating blankets and pads from your company for the last time. My daughter just purchased this heating pad for me tonight, 3/15/22. Not 20 minutes after I’ve had it on Med, it has turned itself off. I press the button to try and turn it on again, but no juice. I unplug it and plug it in another outlet. I press the button again and this time it comes back on. I set it to Med again, but this time after only 10 mins or less it turns itself off. My suggestion, go back to the drawing board, figure out why all your heating products are not meeting the 5 year warranty that it advertises on every box.

Plush cover is the only great part
I received this product as a gift for Christmas. I was immediately in love with a heating pad that felt like a toasty warm teddy bear. Unfortunately, that love was short lived when I was having to unplug it every night and wait 30 seconds or more before plugging it back in to “reset it”, and then it started shutting off after 20 minutes of use. The controller was getting abnormally warm, and so we exchanged it at Walmart figuring we got a defective model. Brought the second one home excited, only to be let down once again to find the exact same set of issues. I’m at a loss reading these reviews and seeing that this is a common issue. Sunbeam was at one time the standard in quality heating pads. Not sure what happened.

Nice heating pad!
I've long suffered with back and neck pain and I enjoy sitting on a heating pad in the recliner after a long day of work. I really like this heating pad. It heats up quickly. It also cools down quickly so I don't have to wait too long before I can put it away. It hasn't bunched up yet, which is a problem I have had with heating pads in the past. And, it gets hot but not too hot to burn. The beige cover is thick and soft. The cord is a good length. I've owned several Sunbeam products in the past and they have provided consistent high quality. I recommend this heating pad.

I bought this less than a week ago. I used it 4 times and now it will not turn on. I unplugged it, waited a few minutes, then plugged it back in. lights came on for about 1 minute, then they went off. No heat. Total disappointment when you really need it to work due to pulled muscle in my back. I work in an emergency room and do not have time running around in pain with a pulled muscle taking back something that should be working. I have to work tonight and really need this to work right now!

Great update!
I've always used the heating pads that have the blue cover and plastic heating insert, and it was always would bug me when the cover would always fall off! But this cover and insert is a great upgrade, the heating insert stays inside all the time now. And I like how I can hide the cord and roll up the heating pad. I feel like it could get a little hotter but it gets the job done! So far I like it.

Good product
What an improvement from the old heating pads from my childhood. The cover could be a little thicker, but it's still way better than the old ones. The soft "fur" is a nice touch. It heats up quickly, has 3 settings, and has an auto shut-off feature for if you toss it aside and forget to turn it off. Note that only one side is truly ultra-soft (fuzzy), the other side is less plush. For those that want to keep heating bills low, I anticipate that it'll be a nice lap warmer in the colder months as well.

Do NOT buy this
I wish I had read reviews before purchasing. I had the exact same problem. I've had the pad for a few months but only used it twice. It heated up great for the first 10-15 minutes then completely shut off. No lights or heat. Unplugged and plugged back in, tried a different outlet...nothing. I guess I'm stuck with this failure as they don't have them at the store any more.

Detach Pad Connector from the Control Connector. 3. Machine wash pad in cool water on gentle cycle, or hand wash. Use mild detergent. 4. Hang to dry or machine dry on a gentle, cool cycle. 5. Mine is doing the same thing now. Sunbeam recommended resetting it by simultaneously pressing the power button and plugging into outlet. That worked for a few minutes each time I did this. Now is back to flashing red light and does not reset. I think it must be a safety feature that indicates an electrical problem. I'm taking it back to Walmart.
