For deep, penetrating pain relief, use moist heat therapy.
DANGER: DO NOT IMMERSE PAD IN WATER OR PLACE UNDER RUNNING WATER TO DAMPEN SURFACE. FAILURE TO COMPLY MAY RESULT IN PERSONAL INJURY.
NOTICE: If your heating pad has a massage feature, do not use moist heat therapy to prevent damage to the massagers. When using moist heat therapy, you should protect furniture and clothing from becoming damp.
For Heating Pad with moist heat sponge insert:
1. Remove the moist heat sponge from the fabric cover.
2. Run warm water over the sponge until it is thoroughly saturated.
3. Gently wring out excess water.
4. Place the sponge on top of the vinyl heating pad and ensure the cloth cover is over the heating pad.
Heating Pad or Heat Wrap no moist heat sponge insert:
Dampen either side of the removable cover with water by patting the surface with a wet sponge or cloth or use a spray bottle to apply a fine mist. Do not thoroughly soak pad.
Apply heat for 20 to 30 minutes for persistent pain that lasts longer than 48 hours.
Apply cold in 10 to 20 minute sessions to reduce swelling that occurs within the first 48 hours of an injury.
Consult your physician before starting all pain treatments.
