How to Recover From a Long Day of Cooking
Many people often underestimate how hard the host or chef of the holiday gathering works to prepare a wonderful meal for everyone to enjoy. Whether it's a Thanksgiving dinner, neighborhood potluck or Christmas brunch, a full day of cooking takes a lot of hard work and effort. After an entire day of food preparation you're likely to be tired and relieved. You'll likely be stiff and maybe even sore from standing all day long. Take a Walk Outside
After a full day of stirring, mixing and baking, going for a walk is a great way to get outside and breath in that fresh, outdoor air after spending one too many hours in the kitchen. Although you may be exhausted from all of your hard work, an easy walk will help to loosen any muscles that became tight. Some light stretching may also help to ease any tightness or discomfort. Talking a long walk also provides you with some alone time to think and reflect on the wonderful holiday meal.

You'll certainly deserve a full body massage after preparing an entire Thanksgiving meal but if that's not in the cards, there are other at home remedies that work just as well. A heating pad can help promote tension relief in your neck and back muscles after a long day of cooking and preparing in the kitchen. Draw a Warm Bath
Another great remedy for sore muscles is to soak in warm water. Relaxing in a warm bath is also the perfect way to de-stress and finally take a moment or two for yourself. Light some candles to set the mood, grab your favorite book and unwind in the warm water. Adding soaps and oils will make your bath more comfortable.

When people are in charge of putting on the entire celebration they're often unable to truly enjoy the meal as much as others.
