Rated 2 out of 5 by from GREAT...when it works We just bought our third copy of this product. The other two lasted approx. two years each. I had lost the paperwork on them and so was unable to use the FIVE year warranty. Now, I have committed the paper on the latest one to the family archive. It won't get lost. As I say, the mattress pad is TERRIFIC in our cold northern midwest winter weather. But when it dies, it's a serious problem. My advice? First try an alternative company. Sunbeam has quality behind its name but is losing it fast, at least with this item. TWO STARS, the second only for how well the product keeps us warm WHEN IT WORKS.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Christmas Present Failed I bought this three days ago for my husband. After chemo he can’t get warm so wanted to give him the best present. Put it on the bed plugged controllers in to make sure everything works before making up the bed. Both controllers worked at first and pad got warm...then one controller quit and is flashing F2. After following instructions I reset controller 6 times and goes right to F2. Now both controllers are so dim they can barely be seen.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Second purchase of sunbeam electric mattress pad We purchased our second Sunbeam electric mattress pad since we liked the first one so much. Unfortunately we haven’t had the same experience with this one. We bought the dual control, 20 setting with preheat function for our king bed and after only 5 months it no longer heats up. I have tried to reset it. The controller appears to be working correctly with no error messages but it does not heat up at all. I have tried higher settings and still nothing. My husband was a police officer who contracted COVID on the job and passed away in the line of duty on December 1 and I am just now getting around to addressing this issue with you because of this. I think I must have gotten a lemon. I have tried all the troubleshooting and nothing works to solve my problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprised The first one we bought, the heating pad did not heat up. Called Sunbeam, was told to take it back to store, had to order another one. My husband is paralyzed from the waits down and he just can't stay warm. I was afraid having a heated mattress pad would be like sleeping on railroad tracks. He can't feel any wires and this keep his legs nice and warm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice - bed is toasty! Ive had this product about a week and it is great so far. I would recommend it to others for sure! I will say that the lights on the controls are dim, and the instructions and the web seem to say nothing about what the "preheat" function does exactly. Those are minor though, so 5 stars.
