Rated 1 out of 5 by cookie from Sunbeam Heritage Legacy Series Mixmaster I HATE this mixmaster for several reasons. I, too, thought I was buying an upgrade. 1st one like this died before I even used it twice, so Sunbeam sent me another. :-) BUT, now that I really tried to use it, I find: 1. The bowl doesn't turn to help incorporate the ingredients. 2. It will not convert to a hand mixer so you have to continually push the ingredients into the beaters. 3. Beaters clank (hit each other) as they turn. What a waste of money. I forgot why it continued to sit on a shelf, taking up space till I tried to use it to make fondant icing. It will be going to good will, maybe someone else will LOVE it...but I doubt it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by KateC523 from LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!!!! I bought this last year before Christmas Baking. I absolutely love it! Great value and quality. I didn't want to spend the $$$ for the 'other' one. This may not have all the extra's that the other one has, but it's a great alternative for 1/2 the cost. Also, the people who complain it doesn't turn must not have read the directions. The rotating speed depends on where you have it and the consistence of your dough. I haven't has any issues with the rotation.

Rated 3 out of 5 by DIsappointedLynn from Not the Sunbeam quality I expected I purchased the Heritage Series because I thought the added cost of the upgraded model would be worth it. Unfortunately, I'm disappointed in the "Heritage"...it's not the Sunbeam mixer quality I had 40 years ago. The slow speeds are too fast to fold in ingredients (flour dust flies all over!) and the faster speeds don't have that much variation. I should have returned it within the 30 day period, but missed that window - ugh!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Tricia from Great mixer! I really had fun using this mixer! It's nice to just put everything in the bowl and let the machine do the work! The mixer seems to be very sturdy, is easy to use, and is aesthetically pleasing! I love the red color, and it has a very retro feel. I did have to scrape down the sides occasionally, but it wasn't a big deal, so that doesn't bother me. I've never used a stand mixer before, so I can't compare the performance to other mixers, but I thought it was great! I did receive this mixer as a sample to review, so I can't really say how I feel about it from a value perspective, either, but the price seems reasonable to me. Overall, I loved it!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Bonnie from Cannot be recommended I bought this years ago but I just used this for the 1st time last dec. 2014. i was so confident that I did not try it at once knowing that this brand is very familiar with me since my old Sunbeam Mixer is excellent whenever I use it specially in beatinfg the eggwhites. This model doesn't beat well leaving the eggwhites watery even beatinf it after several minutes. Another problem is I cannot remove the beaters & the bowl since the body does not tilt down. Is tit possible if I can still return or exchange it. I asked already different people to help me tilt the body but still nothing happened. I am now leaving outside US & it's so hard for me.

Rated 1 out of 5 by RMC123 from Don't waste your money!!! I owned a Sunbeam stand mixer prior to this pricey purchase thinking I was upgrading my mixer...what a disappointment!!! The turntable doesn't spin...the beaters don't go down far enough...THE REASON FOR A STAND MIXER IS SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO SPIN THE BOWL MANUALLY!!! I opted to purchase this Model FPSBSM2103 based on the reviews...I know all the 12 speeds seems to be slow and slower...no difference. My last Sunbeam stand mixer I was able to remove the top mixer and use it in a larger bowl free hand. This one doesn't allow for that. Maybe this is a defected one!!! Now that my husband (recycled the box) how can I return it?!?

Rated 1 out of 5 by jar1 from Not the Sunbeam mixer they use to be As the previous reviews, I thought this mixer would be top of the line. My beaters also clank when using. Not the power and quality I had anticipated from Sunbeam. Was disappointed it doesn't come with a small bowl. You have to purchase it extra.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Mark8 from What a disappointment!!! It's already been said: It's not the Sunbeam quality I used to know and rely on. In fact, I now go to garage sales looking for the "old" ones because they still out-perform this one. I bought this one because the one I'd been using for the past 20+ years finally died. Paying the extra for this new one wasn't worth it. Then, when I looked up the local repair shop, referred by Sunbeam on their website, the customer service reviews were so bad that I decided to try and fix it myself. When I got into it I found that the teeth on the heavy plastic/nylon gears turning the beaters had melted. Pretty sad that one batch of home-made divinity would do that. I used to make divinity a couple of times a month with my old one. It's now been over 90 days and I know by trying to repair it myself that I've probably voided the warranty, so I guess there's no chance in getting a refund (I wouldn't want to replace it with a new one). Save your money and look elsewhere! Hey Sunbeam, if only your gears were made out of metal - this may be a high quality, reliable product.
