Bad thermostatI would have rated Sunbeam's Versa Glide iron a zero if it was an option. From my experience, a zero is what it deserves.
I bought the Versa Glide iron yesterday and read the instructions thoroughly, before trying it. I tried using it, plugging it into a fully functioning outlet. I tried it on each setting, ending with the highest setting: Linen. No matter what the setting, it was barely warm at best. I tried for nearly an hour, but the result did not improve. I rechecked the instructions and saw I did everything correctly, to the letter.
I am very disappointed, as it was stated that Sunbeam "tests every iron before it leaves the factory" yet this one does not
work. So, how could it have passed any test?
Sunbeam may have stood for quality in the past, but given this experience, not any more.

DisappointedI received the Sunbeam Versa Glide cordless iron as a gift. I thought it would be great not having a cord attached. As in the previous review, the iron does not stay hot at all. After a couple of swipes across my clothes, it seems to lose heat. I read the instructions several times to make sure I wasn't missing anything. If I could take it back I would. Even tho my $10 iron from Wal-Mart has a cord, I prefer to use that one.
