Rated 5 out of 5 by from just beautufil AND works so well I have used this mixer for everything, the dough is THE best for breads, pizza,s everything, it doesn't struggle no matter how heavy the cookie dough is. its quiet which I love. I have been watching the reviews on walmart.com as they sell this and they are through the roof and some have even put videos on there. This is for the RED mixer, I can't say on the others though they are suppose to be simialr I didn't find that. The beaters in this are a bit longer than the 2317 amd thats what I think makes it word better. The candy apple red is beautiful, so very pretty. I"m very happy with this mixer and excited looking at it and using it too. Its hard to get the best of both worlds but I have it with this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 602 CAkes This mixer was gifted to me by a friend as a way to encourage me to begin a cottage cake business....well 602 cakes(bespoken individual over the top design cakes and day cakes) later and many mousses, trifles cookies muffins and cobblers just to name about 1000 things...and 3 years this mixer has far exceeded my expectations.. Today at the very end of my mixing a favorite almond buttercream icing I think I stripped the motor gears...on my way out to purchase another one have 68 cakes to bake this week alone!!!!. Excellent mixer for a feasible cost...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This machine works better than it looks I have had this mixer awhile now. It looks cheap to me, I wish they would make this one out of metal and in colors with the glass bowls. I also have the pink heritage which is gorgeous, but recently, making a hard to make cookie dough, the pink heritage wouldn't mix it and I have no idea why. I got this one out and it mixed it right up. what the difference is I have no idea but this is my new favorite one. I don't like the plastic but it works like a charm. I don't understand the bad reviews unless people are not familiar with this type of mixer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Red stand mixer I had the one white one of these, then I got the red one here, I think they are suppose to be the same but this red one works alot better than the white one even. its fantastic. I put an review on walmart.com and also amazon for this. at walmart its got almost 5 starts, it deserves more stars then 5... the beaters are slightly longer then on the white one, at least on mine, and that makes for the bowl to spin alot better, and the stainless steel bowl being locked on helps too, now also, the dough hooks work much better in this one on dough, its very light and fluffy. I haven't had any problems with it, no matter what I have tried to make and its very quiet, something else that means alot to me. I don't think you will be disapointed in this mixer,, its the best!! I have a kitchenaid that I hardly ever use, just reach for this one. if you can't afford a kitchenaid, don't worry, this is better!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really love this mixer I love this mixer, the only thing I wish they would make it in metal instead of plastic and in fun pastel colors, like pastel blue, or pink. would be gorgeous. this is the best mixer ever. great for making bread, cookies, and the whisks do an excellent angel food cake, had it for over two years now and would buy again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bought it for Bread I bought this mixer specifically for making bread after my spatula slipped and got caught in the beaters of my old one. It mixes everything andtThe knead feature of this mixer is wonderful.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Used It Once And The Dough Hooks WILL NOT Release. I Purchased the sunbeam mixmaster yesterday. Issue number one it struggled to make my cinnamon roll dough and my white bread dough. I had to use a spatula to push the flour to the center so the dough hooks could mix everything. Once the dough started to form the whole mixer started to shake. I also had to spin the bowl to help the mixer. After finishing the two doughs, I went to remove the dough hook attachment it would not release. I started making dough at 1 am it is now 5:30 am and I am returning this to Walmart in 30 minutes. I guess instead of spending the 60.00 I should have save up for a 300.00 one that works. Very disappointed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointing construction.... I just received one of these mixers today, and when I opened the box to unpack it, I thought, "Wow! As heavy as this box is, the mixer must be sturdily made." Then I discovered that the entire body of the mixer stand is nothing but hollow plastic! The "heavy" part is the glass bowl, which is real-ly heavy. Although I prefer glass to aluminum because matter doesn't stick to glass quite as much as to the aluminum, I can already appreciate another purchaser's comments about how difficult it is going to be to hold onto the bowl and empty the contents. My "old" Sunbeam glass bowl finally cracked after about 40 years, and I thought it was heavy, but this new one is heavier still. I'll reserve comments about performance for the time being. At this point I am simply disappointed they chose to replace metal for plastic in the construction.
