Cranberry-Wheat Bread

Ingredients:
1-1/2 cups room temperature (70-80° F.) water
1/4 cup honey
2 tbs. butter or margarine, softened
2-1/2 cups bread flour
1-1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1-3/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ground mace
2-3/4 tsp. dry bread machine yeast
1 cup fresh whole cranberries
Directions:
  • Insert bread pan into bread machine as directed for your Sunbeam® breadmaker. Attach kneading blade. Pour water into bread pan; add butter and honey.
  • Add bread flour and whole wheat flour all at once, then on one side of the pan add salt and mace on top of flour mixture. On opposite side of pan, add yeast on top of flour mixture.
  • Close breadmaker lid. Press Select pad to choose Sweet setting.
  • Press Crust Color pad to choose light, medium or dark crust.
  • Press Start/Stop pad. When bread beeps during kneading cycle, raise lid and sprinkle in cranberries over dough. Press Start/Stop pad. When bread beeps during kneading cycle, raise lid and sprinkle in cranberries over dough.
  • When bread has finished baking, using pot holder or oven mitt, carefully remove bread pan from machine. Turn bread pan over; shake gently to remove bread. Cool bread on wire rack.
