A creamy dessert to be served with fresh sliced berries.
Ingredients:
8oz cream cheese (may substitute low fat cream cheese)
1 cup confectioners sugar
1 cup heavy cream (may substitute 8oz low fat prepared whipped non-dairy topping)
3/4 cup red currant jelly
1 1/2 cups fresh sliced strawberries or other fresh fruit
Directions:
  • Beat together cream cheese and confectioners sugar until fluffy.
  • Whip heavy cream until cream holds its shape (8oz low fat prepared whippped non-dairy topping may be substituted).
  • Blend lightly, but thoroughly, with cream cheese mix.
  • Fill heart-shaped mold or 8 small dessert dishes, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate overnight or at least 6 hours.
  • Melt red currant jelly over low heat.
  • When liquid has cooled, add fresh sliced strawberries or other fresh fruit.
  • Serve topped with sauce.
